Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival – Colombo to Kandy

  • Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, meet your chauffeur guide and transfer to Kandy, nestled amidst lush green hills.

  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure – explore the city by yourself, relax in the hotel, or enjoy the cool climate.

  • Overnight stay in Kandy.

Day 02: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya via Tea Plantation

  • After breakfast, begin your day with a visit to:

  • The Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, known for its magnificent orchid collections and expansive greenery.
     

  • Then proceed to Nuwara Eliya, often called “Little England”, known for its colonial charm, cool weather, and tea estates.

  • En route:

  • Stop at a Tea Plantation & Tea Factory, where you’ll observe the fascinating process of Ceylon tea production.
     

  • Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

 

Day 03: Nuwara Eliya – Bentota via Kitulgala

  • After breakfast, depart for Bentota, a famous beach destination in the southern coastal belt of Sri Lanka.

  • En route:

  • Drive through Kitulgala, a scenic town known for white-water rafting and jungle trekking (optional for those interested in adventure sports).
     

  • Arrive in Bentota and enjoy leisure time by the beach.

  • Overnight stay in Bentota.

 

Day 04: Bentota – Colombo City Tour

  • After breakfast, proceed to Colombo, the capital city with a vibrant mix of modern lifestyle and colonial charm.

  • City tour includes (time permitting):

  • Galle Face Green, Gangaramaya Temple, Independence Square, Old Parliament, and shopping zones like Odel or Paradise Road.
     

  • Overnight stay in Colombo.

Day 05: Colombo – Departure

  • After breakfast, enjoy leisure time at the hotel (subject to flight timing) or proceed directly to Bandaranaike International Airport for your return flight.
