Adam’s Peak, also known as Sri Pada, is a sacred mountain with religious significance for Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, and Muslims. The peak is famous for the “Sacred Footprint” at its summit, believed by Buddhists to be Buddha’s footprint, by Hindus as Lord Shiva’s, and by Christians and Muslims as Adam’s. The mountain is a popular pilgrimage destination, with thousands of devotees and travelers climbing its 5,500 steps each year.
