Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival – Colombo to Sigiriya

  • Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, meet your chauffeur guide and transfer to Sigiriya.

  • Spend the day at leisure to relax after your flight or explore the surroundings.

  • Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

 

Day 02: Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya

  • After breakfast, visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This majestic rock, also known as the "Lion’s Rock," offers stunning views from the top.

  • In the evening, explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, the capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th to the 13th century. It is home to well-preserved ruins of palaces, temples, and statues.

  • Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

 

Day 03: Sigiriya – Kandy

  • After breakfast, depart for Kandy, the cultural heart of Sri Lanka.

  • Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, the holiest site in Sri Lanka for Buddhists. The temple houses the relic of Buddha's tooth and is a symbol of Sri Lanka's spiritual and royal heritage.

  • In the evening, enjoy a Kandyan dance and fire walking show, a traditional cultural performance that has been passed down through generations.

  • Overnight stay in Kandy.

 

Day 04: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

  • After breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, known for its extensive collection of plants and orchids.

  • Afterward, head to Nuwara Eliya, known as "Little England" for its colonial charm and picturesque landscapes. En-route, stop at a tea plantation to see how world-famous Ceylon tea is made.

  • Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

 

Day 05: Nuwara Eliya

  • After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour around Nuwara Eliya. You will visit the town’s colonial-era buildings, tranquil gardens, and take a walk around Gregory Lake.

  • Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 06: Nuwara Eliya – Kithulgala – Colombo

  • After breakfast, proceed to Kithulgala, a charming town known for its lush greenery and white-water rafting activities. If you're interested, you can enjoy an adventurous day of rafting (optional).

  • In the afternoon, transfer to Colombo, the capital city, for a relaxing evening at leisure.

  • Enjoy dinner at an Indian restaurant in Colombo before retiring for the night.

  • Overnight stay in Colombo.

 

Day 07: Colombo – Departure

  • After breakfast, you will have the day free at leisure. Explore Colombo at your own pace or do some last-minute shopping.

  • Later, transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your flight back home.

  • Tour ends.
